Dr Vimla Govender

Dr Vimla Govender is from South Africa and came to New Zealand in 2019 with her husband and son. She has been a GP since her days in South Africa, and she continues to find joy in every aspect of general practice here in New Zealand, whether it’s building long-term relationships with patients, navigating complex medical puzzles, or simply being a listening ear.
Outside the clinic, Vimla is a music lover through and through. She also enjoys tennis and badminton.
